Description:   The greater roadrunner is a formidable predator that will prey on just about anything. This interaction shows a roadrunner predating a juvenile cottonmouth which until now had not been documented in the natural history records. I'm happy to say that this interaction has officially been added to the natural history of the roadrunner expanding upon what is already known. Soon to be published in Herpetological Review.

Description:   This barred owl was actively hunting along a wooded area just as dusk was approaching. After taking a dive for an unsuccessful kill, it landed on a dead limb and was perfectly framed between two trees. I knew the light was almost gone and that I had to get this shot as I may never get something quite as special. I clicked the shutter and knew it was going to be a unique image.
